Statement of Faith

There is one true and living God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Isaiah 45:5, Mathew 28:19

-Father-

God the Father created the earth and all that’s in it. He is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love, and involves Himself mercifully in the affairs of people. He hears and answers prayers, knows and cares for us in our everyday lives, and has a perfect plan for each of us as individuals, and for the whole church throughout the world. Genesis 1:1, 1 John 5:14, Psalm 139:1-18

-Son-

Our Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Father, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life as a man, He died on the cross, He was resurrected, He is continually interceding for His people, and He sits at the right hand of the Father until His second coming. Jesus has given a new life, an eternal life, to all who look to Him and declare He is Lord. John 3:14-18, John 14:6, Romans 10:9, 2 Corinthians 5:21

-Holy Spirit-

The Holy Spirit was sent by God to dwell in us so that we may be sanctified, renewed, taught, guided and enabled to live in righteousness. He empowers all true believers to become witnesses for Jesus Christ, and He convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. By submitting to the Holy Spirit Christians are able to step into the new self, one created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. John 14:26, John 16:8, 2 Corinthians 7:1, 2 Corinthians 4:16, Ephesians 4:23-24, Galatians 5:25, 2 Thessalonians 2:13

-Bible-

The Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the divinely inspired, unfailing, and only authoritative Word of God; supreme and final in its authority in matters of faith and practice and a practical guidebook for living today. 2 Timothy 3:16

-Church-

There are many Christian denominations and organizations, but Jesus is head of them all. He calls us to love one another, to esteem others more highly than ourselves and to submit to one another. Our relationship with Christ unites us all in His love. The Church, as we know today, exists to prepare its members for ministry; to send them out to be the “light of the world” to give glory to Father God as the body of Christ through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  Psalm 43:3, Mathew 5:14-16, John 16:13, Romans 12:5, Romans 12:9-10, 1 Corinthians 12:12, 2 Corinthians 5:20, Ephesians 4:11-12
